Horns By jimmy carpenter!

Love to have a sax solo, or horn section on your record? I can do that!!

"I believe in the song, I believe in melody. I want to compliment the song, make it better, not overtake it. I love to create a vibe, a mood, an emotion. That's what makes a great solo, or horn arrangement."

I can do whatever your heart desires with horns, from a simple head motif to a great solo to full-section arrangements. I am set up to record in my home studio, using high-quality pro gear. I can record a solo, record your arrangements, or write them for you. I can send them to you, or record them here. If it's a full section you want, I can hire great local players and partner with my friends at Nonebody Studios. It is up to you!

Please check out the examples below. I have many more, and as Musical Director of The Big Blues Bender, I write 10-15 original charts for numerous artists every year.

I have toured and/or recorded with Mike Zito, Eric Lindell, Walter Wolfman Washington, Honey Island Swamp Band, Billy Iuso, Keith Stone, Vegas Strip Kings, and more.

Horns By Jimmy Carpenter

Here are a few clips of solos and horn arrangements, starting with some from my newest release, Soul Doctor. Need Your Love so Bad features a sultry and patient blues tenor. When I Met You is a classic Memphis R&B song, and Love it So Much is a New Orleans 2nd line groove. Going back about 10 years to my Toiling In Obscurity record, Screeching Halt is a full-on Latin arrangement, and Back By The River is my brass band arrangement of a 70's Dr John song. Finally, Only You is an over the top section part from Walter Wolfman Washington and The Roadmasters.
